1. Who is the Beginners course for?
Between the ages of 5 and 7 is the “golden window” when children pick up a second language most naturally. The course is designed especially for children who:
- ✓Are just starting out with English and have never attended a class before.
- ✓Are about to start Grade 1, or are in Grades 1 – 2 and need to get familiar with letters and sounds.
- ✓Are still shy, afraid to speak, or whose pronunciation is not yet accurate.
2. What will your child achieve?
🔤Accurate phonics
Your child will recognise every letter of the English alphabet, sound out the basic vowels and consonants, pronounce words clearly and get into the habit of saying ending sounds.
🎨A lively vocabulary (300+ words)
Learning words through pictures, real objects and songs on familiar topics: colours, numbers, family, animals, toys, school and parts of the body.
🗣️Natural listening and speaking
Understanding and responding quickly to classroom instructions in English. Confidently introducing themselves, greeting others and expressing feelings and likes in short, complete sentences.
🚀A springboard to Cambridge Pre A1 Starters
Getting used to picture-matching and listen-and-colour tasks – familiar formats from the Cambridge English Young Learners (Starters) exam.
